10 December 2012
On Wednesday 7th November 2012, the town of Diss came out in support of the 1st Battalion, The Royal Anglian Regiment, the Vikings, as they exercised the Freedom of the Town awarded to them by Diss Town Council in recognition of their close links to the town and their sacrifices, risking their lives so that we may have the freedoms we enjoy today.
It was a very proud and special day for the town, with the whole community coming together to show their support and acknowledge these sacrifices.
It was also a hugely successful day for the town. The organisation of the day was praised by many including Norfolk Constabulary, The Regiment themselves, the community and the dignitaries. This was only possible for the Town Council to achieve with the help and support of many, many organisations and individuals. Every contribution, no matter how small all came together to make it a day to remember for everyone, including and especially The Vikings.
Very positive comments were received from the Colonel of the Regiment, the Commanding Officer, the Regimental Sergeant Major and the troops themselves. To a man they said they had never been made to feel so welcome in any town as much as they had in Diss. All the little touches made such a big impression on them and they were all stunned by the atmosphere.
On behalf of the Town Mayor and the Town Council, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you so much for your contribution to the day. Thank you for your support of the Town Council in assisting with the Traffic Management, we could not have asked for a better service by your company. The advice and support provided throughout was exemplary and contributed hugely to the success of the day.

On behalf of the Old Catton Diamond Jubilee Committee I would like to thank you for the loan of the generator for our Jubilee Fun Day on Monday June 4th.
We were blessed with good weather and the day was an outstanding success with over 2000 people attending. A lot of effort and planning goes into organising these events but they would not be possible without the generosity of companies like yours.

A big thank you to your company and especially your man who kept our garage open throughout the last few months owing to major road works. Nothing was too much trouble for them, the signs they had made up for us were a big help. They also checked on the bollards that were hit and made sure our entry and exits were always kept clear. They were helpful, polite and a credit to your company.
Thank you very much.

I am writing to you in my capacity as Farm Manager on the Euston Estate.
On 10th/11th September we hired your company’s services to assist us with traffic management to enable our tree felling responsibility along a stretch of the busy A134 main road.
After arranging the planning via the Highways Dept the onward contact was with MLTM. From this stage on, the whole experience and level of assistance was absolutely first class. Neville came to visit us to get an understanding of our objective and to help me plan it. On the start date of the operation Neville and Simon performed superbly for the duration of the week-end. They were absolutely punctual on arrival, their attention to detail was faultless and they displayed an exceptional work ethic over the two days.
In the world today it is rare to find people with whom it is such a joy to work. Your staff deserve all the praise and thanks I would like you to pass on to them.
Subsequently to this we shall be contacting you to arrange further traffic management schemes for the next phase of our free felling operation. I look forward to working with your team again.
With kind regards
